so i just finished building a custom gaming computer.
from tiger direct.
and it turns on and everything but there is a blank screen, im trying to install VISTA but cant with a blank screen. my monitor goes to sleep after a few seconds.
o notice there are three connectors for wires on the top are two 6hole connectors that go to the power supply and a third one that is just 2 holes. and on the wire says JWT,B24. i dont know where i plug this in and this may be why its not working. i notice that when the pc comes on the only thing it shows with the blank screen is INPUT SIGNAL- NO VGA INPUT or something. my mother board is a nforce 790i.

Saturday, December 26th, 2009I’m planning to buy a graphics card but I’m not sure the real details since I keep on seeing it needs 400W Power supply at Bestbuy.com, 350W on some shopping sites, and I don’t want to keep on walking back and forward to find the details. Even CompUSA won’t even give me the details. Someone said it works on 300W Power supply since the “box” said it is 300 but somebody said 350W.
All I’m saying is how much watts does it require to use the 8500GT? Will it run slow if it doesn’t meet the requirements or will not work at all?
