I always wanted to build my own computer for gaming purposes but im also scared to because I have never built one before. Also my dad is scared to spend $2500 on a computer which I’m scared to fry or I dont know how to fix something. I know all the parts and know where they go but the software related stuff kinda make me feel like I might fail in completing it. For example, If I fry a part, something doesn’t work right or if I have a water cooling system and it leaks MY DAD WOULD KILL ME!. HAHA Joking but yea. Anyways my dad said that I should buy a gaming computer from Future shop which costs about $2100-$2200 but not even close to the parts I wanted to buy from Tiger direct.
This is the link of the computer I was looking at Futureshop—> http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10132376&catid=
Thank u for any Advice!!!!
Actually that isn’t a bad price on that unit. You can still build for cheaper, but to build a water cooled, 12 gig, 1 TB, i7 CPU unit as my first build, hmmmm…. maybe not. Tiger has some nice complete units too. Even to piece together the whole thing would be cheaper if you look for sales. I think MicroCenter.com has a nice 22″ monitor on sale cheap. A nice mouse and keyboard. etc etc
Check out pricewatch.com to compare prices on computer parts & electronics. Alienware.com and 3BTech.net are more places to check out. Good Luck
Build is not that hard but the deals that are out there are soo cheap and usually you can get a built system for comparable to parts and software and it usually comes with a warranty and support. I have built a lot of systems but don’t anymore because of the great deals that are easy to find.
That computer is good, but I would switch the video card to an ATI Radeon though. ATI cards are way better and cheaper. The thing is… You could build that computer yourself for $500 less. You have to decide if that’s what you want to do though. I’d compare prices with newegg.com before buying anything. Good luck.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced. I can build a kick a$$ gaming desktop for $700
What kinda gaming do you do?
yea WAAAAAAY over priced
I think you’re better off buying one.
BUUUYYY!!
its less hassle
